Why?

Why is it so hard to make a teenager understand the dangers in the world? Why do we always have to be the bad guys? Some days I hate being  parent. How do you make them understand you are only doing it for their own good? This is one of those times it just sucks having to be the adult.

8th grade promotion

Bethany's 8th grade promotion was tonight. I have been trying my hardest to not break down and cry all day. I am so not ready for her to go to high school. I know she has to grow up but couldn't she wait a few more years?? My little sister told me tonight that it will be high school graduation before we know it and then her wedding we will be going to! Those thoughts really scare me (so I am just gonna ignore them and they will go away! ) So school will be out on the 25th and we start our busy summer. She will be going to Disneyland with a friend, then girls camp, then she is having ankle surgery on the 10th of July! She is growing so fast I can't keep up! I do not like this one bit.
